Every Illustrated Tracks design is available in three formats: poster print on premium paper, stretched canvas, and acrylic perspex. Each has real advantages and genuine trade-offs. Choosing the wrong format for your space or expectations is the most common source of dissatisfaction with wall art — so it's worth getting right before you order.

Poster Print

The poster print is the core format — the design as intended, printed on premium archival paper. It's the most affordable option and the most versatile, because it can be framed to suit any room style. A poster print in a thin black frame looks contemporary; in a wood frame it looks warmer; with a wide mat border it looks gallery-quality. That flexibility is a genuine advantage.

Best for: Collectors who want framing control, gallery walls with multiple prints, anyone with a specific frame style in mind, and buyers who want the best value per piece.

Consider: You'll need to buy a frame separately. The print needs UV-protective glazing for long-term preservation. Without a frame, it's vulnerable to handling damage.

Stretched Canvas

Stretched canvas prints have a tactile, textured quality that paper doesn't replicate. The canvas surface catches light slightly differently across the day, giving the illustration a quality that feels closer to original artwork than a reproduction. It arrives ready to hang — no framing required — with the image continuing around the edges of the stretcher bars for a neat, finished look from every angle.

Best for: Anyone who wants ready-to-hang art without the framing step, rooms with warmer or more traditional aesthetics, and larger format display where the texture of canvas adds to the visual impact.

Consider: Canvas is displayed without glazing, so the surface is more exposed to dust and humidity than a framed poster print. Needs periodic dusting. Not ideal for very high-humidity environments.

Acrylic Perspex

The acrylic perspex format is the most visually striking. The print is mounted behind high-clarity acrylic using standoff hardware that holds it a centimetre or two off the wall, creating a shadow gap and a floating effect. Colours appear more saturated and vivid behind acrylic than on paper or canvas. It's the format that non-fans most often mistake for original artwork.

Best for: Contemporary interiors, home offices (it photographs extremely well on video calls), anyone who wants the most visually impactful format with no framing required, and display in spaces where the piece is a focal point rather than part of a gallery wall.
